Ideation brands or rebrands your space with custom signs and environmental graphics. They work as a team with graphic designers and architects to achieve maximum impact. Ideation’s custom designers makes the whole process fun and easy while showing you the possibilities. They handle every detail of implementation.
Your space tells the story of your brand and custom signs will illustrate your message. Our graphic design team and production specialists take the time to understand your branding story, so they can develop the perfect custom signage for your building. We handle everything from single outdoor signs to complex wayfinding systems. No matter your needs, we help move your people in the right direction.
Below are the four phases of the brand development process. As you can see, Ideation fully explores the story behind your brand. We listen to your ideas and offer some of our own. Working together, we can communicate your story through signs and imagery.
You bet we can! You know your brand best and we love collaborating with clients who are visionary and creative. Bring us your ideas. We can help you validate it and expand upon it. If it’s not feasible, we recommend alternatives to better help you realize your objective.
Most projects are broken down into two cost components. First, there is the cost of designing the perfect sign for your space. Second, there are the actual charges for producing and installing the sign. Some customers come to us with a design already in place. Therefore, the cost breakdown ensures you only pay for the services you require. Once we establish your needs, we can help prepare a quote for both design and production that fits comfortably into your budget.
As a guideline, here is a general breakdown of normal production costs:
If you’re looking for a partner that will design the right solution, use quality materials and deliver according to promise, you won’t find us expensive at all. We may not be the cheapest alternative out there – but we offer more than signs. We tell your story and help brand your space with our imagery. Build a persona that resonates with your customers.
The first step is to meet and discuss your ideas, needs, and existing assets. Next, we visit your location and assess the architecture of the space and the current design.
If the space is under construction, we can review the blueprints and renderings. Once we have an understanding of your needs, we develop a master sign plan that details all the necessary signage and graphic elements. For exterior signs, we review the local sign ordinances so that your sign adheres to all rules and regulations.
Finally, we begin putting our creative ideas to paper. The design process starts with conceptual renderings and concludes with engineered drawings that define all the important details. Material samples, prototypes, and 3D models are available to show you all the possibilities. The greatest benefit in hiring Ideation is peace of mind.
If you are looking for a environmental graphic designer or any type of signage design in Birmingham, we are the sign company that offers it all.
The amount of time required to produce your commercial sign depends on the scope of your project. Some items can be installed in as little as one week. An exterior facade sign often takes about two weeks to produce. However, a comprehensive wayfinding system might take as much as a couple of months. During your initial visit, we discuss your needs and present you with a more specific estimate.
Another thing you need to consider is the city sign permit. Obtaining the permit generally takes two weeks after design approval. Ideation handles your city permit for you.
Here is a general timeline for reference:
