Ideation produces signs and environmental graphics that tell your story while working together with your interior design and architecture for maximum impact. Our team will make it fun and easy by helping you see the possibilities up front while handling every detail of implementation.
Signs go in your space and your space communicates your brand. Our team of designers and production specialists is skilled at understanding your brand and your space to develop the optimal signage for your environment – whether you need a single sign or a comprehensive system. We’ll make sure your space and signage move your people in the direction you want them to go.
Absolutely! We love collaborating with visionaries and creative individuals. Many times our customers come to us with an idea. We’ll help them validate it, expand on it, or recommend alternatives that might better help you achieve your objective.
Most projects have two cost components. The first is the cost for designing the right solution for your needs. The second is the cost for producing it. Of course, if you already have a design, we can skip right over the first cost. When we meet to discuss your needs, we’ll determine what the design cost will be and establish a budget range you’re comfortable with for the production costs.
We start with a get-to-know-you meeting to understand both the challenge and the upside potential of getting it right.
Next, we’ll visit your space to review the architecture, the interior design, visibility and how the space is viewed and used by your customers, employees and anyone else that matters. If your space is under construction, we’ll spend time reviewing the blueprints and renderings with you.
If multiple signs are necessary, we’ll develop a master sign plan that catalogs all necessary sign and graphic elements.
When exterior signs are in scope, we’ll review the local sign ordinance to identify all relevant rules and regulations before design.
Finally, we get creative. Our design process begins with conceptual renderings and concludes with engineered drawings that leave no important detail undefined. Material samples, prototypes and 3D models can be produced to aid in the approval process.
What do you get by hiring Ideation to handle design? Peace of mind.
If you’re looking for a partner that will design the right solution, use materials of appropriate quality for your needs, and deliver according to plan, you won’t find us expensive at all.
However, if you’re just looking for the cheapest price, you’ll find us expensive.
Going right for the million-dollar question, eh? Below are typical ranges for some common signage applications. Our goal though is to design a solution that balances the impact you’re trying to make with the characteristics of your space and budget. If you don’t have a budget in mind, we’ll help you establish a reasonable production budget and then design accordingly.
Design can take as little as 1 week and sometimes more depending on the scope and surveying requirements of your project. An exterior facade sign takes on average 2 weeks while a comprehensive wayfinding sign system might take a couple of months. When we talk we can give you a more specific answer.
Exterior signs often require a city sign permit. This step generally takes 2 weeks from design approval.
Below are average production and installation turnaround times:

Absolutely. We often work with creative agencies, designers and architects that already have a design.
